Ponte da Amizade

The Friendship Bridge (Ponte da Amizade) is the international crossing linking Brazil and Paraguay over the Paraná River, spanning 552 meters. Inaugurated in 1965, the bridge is one of the busiest in South America, with heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic crossing daily between Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad del Este. The viewpoint near the Brazilian entrance offers a panoramic view of the Paraná River and the border activity.
